There are numerous art reviews and catalogues published about the artist.  Here is the quote from one of them:
"She plays the paint, giving herself up to completely hedonistic penetration in plastic painting. One of the the most known lines of Anna Birstein - a white still life. The White color subordinates the light, composition and rhythm. The simplicity and boldness of these pictures certifies authentic skills, and influences of the big cultural tradition and teachers"
