Born in Bakhinacy, Ukraine in 1947

Studied art in the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. Former underground Soviet conceptualist, Aisenberg participated in numerous unofficial Avant-Garde  exhibitions. His motto: "Search for new forms of independence from cultural institutions. To transfer weight from the art work to the art person, and explore new paths for art".
Valery Aisenberg had more than 40 personal exhibition projects, and took part in 60 group exhibitions. 1987 - Versailles, France, Auction of Modern Art.; 1988 Warsaw and Katowitse, Poland.; Hannover, Gallery Hauswedell & Nolte, Germany; Hamburg, Gallery Sohloss Wotersen, Germany; 1989 - Dusseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Germany; 1991: "Art, Europe", Germany; 1992: "Grose Kunstausstellung", Palace Art, Dusseldorf; 1993: "BUD-2", Spaces gallery, Cleveland, USA, "Gold Rhine", Kunstlerhouse Zelk, Shlezvig-Goldshtain, Germany; 1994: "BUD-3", New York; 1995: "Nineteen Performances", New York; 1996: "BUD-4, New York, 1998: Heimat Stadt museum, Ekenfyorde, Germany; 1999: "Plener-1" Holocaust Museum, Israel; 2001: "Fair", Royal Academy Art, London.
Works of Valery Aisenberg are represented in the State Tretiyakov Gallery,  Russian Museum, Forum-Lindentali Gallery, Cologne, Germany; as well as in many private collections worldwide.
